Klamilan Seutu is a village association of Klamila and surrounding villages, located on the coast of Gulf of Finland.
We are a non-profit organization. Our purpose is to promote tourism, to foster the well-being of the area, to develop a sense of village community and to support local businesses.
Klamilan Seutu runs a central hub of the village, called Village Parlor Ronkuli. In this little shop, local artisans and manufacturers can sell their crafts, foodstuffs and other products in a centralized location. Ronkuli is also a pharmacy outlet, a tourist information center, and a free internet cafe.
Klamilan Seutu supports local businesses by organizing a weekly summer market, and an annual fish market in the autumn.
We have arranged construction projects to improve the village cosiness, and we run the official village website, www.klamila.fi.
We do all of this as collaboration with local businesses and associations. Klamila was elected as The Village of the Year of Kymenlaakso area in 2006 and 2016.
